We as humans, strive so hard for independence and pride we forget to pay closer attention to our surroundings and how they affect us. How things and people make us feel contributes to our future understanding and acceptance in life.
When you act like a person’s actions don’t impact you for so long you fail to notice when they actually do.
God speaks about a seared heart and conscience in the Bible. If you harden yourself long enough eventually you won’t be able to feel anymore.
The damage is still there and can cause worse issues that now you are less aware of.
Don’t just ignore pain.
Think of carpal tunnel.
There is a lot of things we can do to avoid it getting worse. But we keep on with our routine lives telling ourselves it will be fine. One day we’ve done serious damage that can no longer be easily repaired.
We cover up our feelings and expressions thinking pain makes us weak.
No! Pain is your body’s signal that something is wrong.
So fix it!
God gave you the ability to feel for a reason. You don’t need to ever feel bad or ashamed for feeling anything you feel. You can still be independent if you ask for help. You can still be proud of your accomplishments and know humility is a sign of strength not weakness.
Remove those that hurt you. Separate yourself from things that do not serve you. Don’t hold onto thoughts unhealthy for you. Get help when you need it. It’s never okay to avoid a problem just to avoid a confrontation or conflict.
Everyone has a different threshold. Don’t take someone else’s understanding or idea of pain as your own.
Life is meant to be enjoyed. Pain is a reminder you need to do something to get back to that enjoyment.
Enjoy your day friends!
