What is Love?

People have grown to use the term “love” too loosely.
Love is designed to mean more than just a spoken word.
Love is an action. Love is a feeling. Love is an idea. Love is a reaction. Love is a gesture. Love is emotion. Love is a gift. Love is grace. Love is forever.

I understand love can mean many different things to many different people. We speak, feel, believe, and cherish love differently.
Some of us hold love in such a sacred place we let that guide us as to what we should be like, feel like, live like.

As a Christian, love is the reason we are to strive to be equally yoked.

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”
(2 Corin. 6:14)
I’ve loved people that didn’t “love” me in return. I know exactly what it is like to pour my soul into someone and they watch me do it.
Too many people say they “love you,” without showing emotion. Without giving a reaction. Without feeling a thing.
Do. Not. Believe. Them.
In fact, remove them. Who wants to entrust their heart into a liar’s hands?

If someone truly loves you, it will not be of confusion. It will not be of question.

Ladies, men are not as shy to their emotion of love as society, media, and secular dating books out there would like us to believe.

Love is not a game you have to solve. Love is not a competition you have to win. You don’t have to act like you don’t love a man to get him to realize he loves you.

If he truly loves you, he will have no problem proving and showing his love to you. A man of God knows finding a wife to be a good thing.

“He who finds a wife, finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.” (Proverbs 18:22)

A man who loves you is not going to toy with the idea.  So if you feel unsure or feel you are being played with, I can assure you that is not love. Love will not use you, abuse you, or risk losing you.  Don’t be fooled by what your model of love growing up has been either. Love is clearly defined in The Bible.

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4-7‬)

Stay prayed up. God will reveal your true love to you.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
(Proverbs 4:23)

With sincere love,

Writing kept me alive. Sharing makes it worth seeing another day. Site has been under construction for several years. Heck, my life has been but I figure if one person can gain something from me then it's all worth it in the end. :0) Be blessed. Enjoy. Matthew 7:7
